Professional Experience in the Field of Translation

Full time professional translator since 1990. Thanks to my scientific background, I specialize in technical translations from Italian into English.

Over the years I have also acquired experience in the cultural tourism field and in transcreating advertising copy and press releases, primarily for the promotion of technology products. Being a keen amateur cook, I have also translated texts on Italian cuisine.

Since 2000

I have spoken/taught at workshops and courses on translation memory systems, Web search techniques for translators and interpreters, client satisfaction surveys, again for translators and interpreters, and transcreation.

Since 2005

I have developed the terminology search tool IntelliWebSearch.

Since 2010

I have been an untenured lecturer in Computer tools for translation and interpreting (Degree in Interpreting and Communication) at the Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM, Milan.

Since 2013

I have been an untenured lecturer in Computer tools for translation and interpreting (Degree in Translation and Liaison Interpreting) at the Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici Carlo Bo, Milan.
